This marketing image was originally under AXS studio to celebrate the Toronto Raptors 2019 Championship win! AXS wanted to update the Toronto Raptors logo and create a scientifically accurate 3D Raptors logo. Based on recent findings, velociraptors are actually covered in feathers and are roughly the size of a turkey!

Like the Raptors, our studio thrives on teamwork! The base model was created by a coworker. I was responsible for texturing and adding in the feathers. I tried a slew of techniques that we don’t usually get to play around with for our clients. After tinkering around with FiberMesh in Zbrush, I couldn’t achieve the look I wanted within the allocated timeline. I ended up using a combination of Paintfx and MASH to achieve the feathers.
